Armed with a cup of coffee, sitting quietly in the early morning hours my thoughts are on all the positive events from the past week!
- First and foremost, meeting and working with some fantastic clients to develop fantastic, memorable holidays.
- Attending the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, Business After Hours Event, www.halifaxchamber.com at Curve’s Sales Office, by South West Properties. Beautiful and exciting new condos currently under construction on South Park! Met great local entrepreneurs and grateful to have met and chatted with representatives from Lochaber Chamber of Commerce regarding tourism in their region of Scotland & potential partnerships with Wanderlust Excursions. A dialogue that will be continuing….. Photo source: Snapd Halifax
- I attended the Centre for Women in Business’s International Women’s Day Breakfast www.centreforwomeninbusiness.ca. A Thank you to Grant Thornton for hosting me at their table. A great group of Ladies!! To a phenomenal keynote speaker, Mandy Rennehan – for anyone whom has been fortunate enough to hear Mandy speak, no more needs to be said!! To those that have not – better add this to your list of “must dos”. A great morning re-connecting with fantastic women; meeting & developing new connections with fellow entrepreneurs/businesswomen. A truly empowering day! Photo source: CWB FaceBook
- As well, mid week saw my most recent Travel article contribution, Travel: South America Series, with the Enfield Weekly Press, www.enfieldweeklypress.com
- To wrap up the week, I attended the final day of a 10 week program, receiving a Certificate in Export Sales and Marketing. Facilitator Paula Greene, Beyond Ventures Group, www.beyondventuresgroup.com, whose expertise, knowledge, course outline, pool of guest speakers and last but not least my fellow classmates whom openly shared experiences etc., provided a great learning experience and what is sure to be an on-going support group led by Gordia MacDonald of the Centre for Women in Business! This program made available to members of the CWB in partnership with Nova Scotia’s Department of Labour and Advanced Education – Thank You!
Thank you to all the Great Women of the CWB , as well as to the folks at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce for hosting beneficial events helping to promote local businesses and provide the all important “venues” for entrepreneurs to network & share our stories – your efforts & expertise are greatly appreciated.
